Description
We carry out examination and maintenance of lifebuoys in accordance with MC SOLAS (LSA) requirements.

During the examination, the company's specialists check lifebuoys for their physical confuguration, and also evaluate them according to the signs of the limiting state. Inspection and examination of lifebuoys should be carried out at least once every 5 years or after repairs. The lifebuoys have to be checked complete with self-igniting lights with batteries, lifebuoy lines, lifesmokes, signal whistles and reflective tapes.

During tests we undertake the following types of works:
  1. An inspection of marking;
  2. External visual inspection;
  3. Reflecting tape area state and condition check;
  4. Test for durability;
  5. Test for buoyancy;
  6. Cleaning of the lifebuoys;

Lifebuoys are tested by dropping from a height of two meters on the stand for four times. Then a buoyancy test is carried out for 24 hours. Lifebuoys that have passed previous tests are subject to static structure tests with a duration of 20 minutes for a lifebuoy, and 10 minutes for each section of a lifeline.

The following additional equipment for lifebuoys is subject to separate examination:
  • Lifebuoy self igniting light;
  • Lifebuoy line;
  • Self-activating smoke signal;

Additional equipment is being checked for:
  • End of service life of the equipment;
  • Operability of the electrical circuit and lighting;
  • Battery lifetime;
If necessary, we make replacement of components or rejection with the provision of a new product.
As soon as the examination is conducted we issue an original certificate of inspection, marked with the original label.
For life-saving appliances that have passed the examination and being accepted for further operation, we issue original examination certificates. In addition, they are marked with the original label with the date of examination.
