Pressure vessels examination and maintenance

The outer and inner surface of the cylinder is inspected in order to identify defects (corrosion, cracks, dents, etc.) that reduce strength and serve as the basis for rejection. The capacity of the cylinders is checked by weighing the cylinders filled with water to the thread bottom of the neck.
Each pressure vessel that has undergone maintenance is subjected to hydraulic test in order to verify its strength.

During the test we acomplish the following:

• An inspection of marking;
• External visual inspection;
• Discharging of the cylinder;
• Disassembly of valves;
• Flushing (cleaning the internal cavity);
• Inspection of the external and internal cavity;
• Determination of the mass of cylinder;
• Measuring the volume of cylinder;
• Hydraulic test:
1. Step pressure increase to trial
2. The vessel is under test pressure for the required amount of time
3. Pressure reduction to operating value followed by inspection
4. Pressure drop to zero
• Measuring the volume of cylinder after hydraulic test;
• Drying the inner cavity of cylinderl;
• Installation of stop valves;
• Pressure Test/Leak Test;
• Branding;

When the inspection is over we stick the service label to the cylinder.
