Description
GMDSS tests
Specialists of our enterprise do the testing of VFM and MF\HF radios. DSC signals transmitted on any of the six distress frequencies on MF\HF and on VHF CH 70 are checked on the test box.
Such test box can send either a GMDSS disrtress signal (all ships call) or a selective test call addressed to a particular MMSI number. The calls are sent on any of the 6 distress frequencies on MF/HF as well as on VHF CH 70. Above this, the ability to send and recive DSC signals on the international calling frequencies 2177.0 and 2189.5 kHz is checked.
We also measure the deviation on a receved signal and the transmitted and reflected power on any VHF channel, including CH 70, as well as the sensetivity of the receiver part is tested.

For the testing of NAVTEX Receivers, the ability to send NAVTEX signals on 490 kHz, 518 kHz or 4209.5 kHz is cheked.
For the testing of TELEX Receivers, the ability to send TELEX signals on 2.1745 MHz, 4.1775 MHz, 6.2680 MHz, 12.520 MHz and 16.6950 MHz is cheked.

AIS tests
During the test AIS Class A transponders for vessels, aircraft and shore stations as well as Class B Transponders are cheked. We check their ability to send and receive AIS data and to make both,  frequency and power measurements on CH 70, AIS channel 1 and 2.
We also pay special attention to checking the GMDSS communication on CH 70 by requesting reports of the ship's call sign, IMO number, name, type, dimentions draught and destination, etc.

SART tests
For the testing of 9 GHz Radar SARTs, we measure the frequency of the response signals transmitted from the SART and display the average frequency.

Deviation and repair of compasses
  • We disassemble and wash the compass case with/ without painting;
  • Change dry gaskets and supporting liquid;
  • Check the condition of the needle;
  • Change or solder the membrane, if necessary;
  • If the glass becomes dimmed, we replace it;
  • Eliminate bubbles;

Maintenance of gyrocompasses
  • Selection of transducers of the gyrocompasses course, their repair and restoration;
  • Peripheral network setup;
  • Elimination of permanent amendments;
  • Repair and replacement of gyrocompass boards;
  • Replacement of the gyrosphere (sensing element of the gyrocompass).
