Lifesmoke Mk9

Lifesmoke MK9 is small and compact, day time distress signal designed for effective position marking of a person at sea during rescue operations and can be used to indicate wind direction, producing dense orange smoke for a minimum of 3 minutes. It is is stowed in liferafts and lifeboats, being easy and safe in handling. It can be used in temperatures of water from -1 °C to +30 °C (86.0 °F). 

Lifesmoke MK9 conforms to SOLAS 74 as amended. It is required 2 smoke signals per raft/boat. Ideal also for leisure boats. It is safe to use it on oil or petrol covered water.

The lifesmoke is intended only for emergency use at sea, never dismantle or use it after expiry date. Keep away from children and sources of heat. Never use it in a confined space and do not inhale the smoke.

Operation:

1. Remove plastic cap. Point away from body;
2. Pull tab firmly away from canister. Ensure hand remains clear of HOT END;
3. Throw Lifesmoke overboard immediately. Smoke will be emitted after a 2 second delay;
