How it works
In an emergancy situations, the SmartFind S5A is activated and starts to transmit an alert message along with your current GPS location and ID number to all vessels equipped with AIS within VHF range. The inbuilt GPS enables rescuers to track down your accurate location and start rescue operation. Battery storage life exeeds six year and enables the SmartFind S5A to transmit continuously for more than 96 hours.
The McMurdo SmartFind S5A AIS SART has a high visibility buoyant carry off bag with a special shoulder strap, making it easy to carry. The bag can be wall mounted or packed inside the survival craft.
