We carry out maintenance and testing of stationary dry powder fire extinguishing systems. All maintenance and inspection work is carried out in accordance with MSC/ 1/Circ. 1432. Upon completion of the inspection, we issue an original examination certificate.

Description
The dry powder fire extinguishing system includes stations, where tanks with powder and cylinders with carrier gas, extinguishing points with hend-held lances or firefighting monitors, pipelines and fittings for starting the system and supplying powder to the fire nozzles are located.

Maintenance intervals:
  • Once a month
  • Once a year
  • At least once every 2 years
  • At least once every 10 years

The verification process includes:
  • Check of content of pilot cylinders;
  • Desintegration of the powder by nitrogen;
  • Inspection and functional test of the main valve/s and/or distribution valve;
  • Check of the starting devices and non-return valve on opening;
  • Visual inspection of connecting lines from discharge valves and/or heads;
  • Under pressure leak-test for manifold and pipelines in distribution valve;
  • Visual inspection of all discharge valves and/or heads;
  • Inspection, tests and scavange of distribution lines and nozzles;
  • Inspection and tests of powder guns and powder monitors;
  • Inspection and tests of pilot lines;
  • Inspection and tests of powder hoses;
  • Visual check-up of dry powder rooms, doors, hinges, locks, control box/es and key boxes;
  • Checking alarm and smoke sampling system;

After all the tests are over we re-connected the system, seal it and left in operational order with inspection date labels attached.
