Description
The Pains Wessex para red MK8A rocket is day or night long range distress signal, designed to withstand exceptional environmental exposure and to perform reliably even after immersion in water. The pull wire ignitor and improved grip provides easy handling. It ejects a red flare on a parachute at 300m (1000ft) and burns for 40 seconds at 30,000 candela. 

12 rockets may be carried on ships bridge and 4 must be stored in ships lifeboats and liferafts. It also can be used in other commercial and recreational boats.

Para Red Rocket is highly hazardous item and is intended only for emergency use at sea, never dimantle or use it after expiry date. Keep away from children and sources of heat.

Operation:
  1. Hold signal firmly by ribbed handle. Unscrew RED bottom cap. Do not point at people or property.
  2. Hold rocket vertically above head pointing away from body.
  3. To fire - pull red ball sharply down.
