Insulated wire cutters is a hand-held insulating tool designed for cutting cables and wires in electrisity-generating plants or installations with voltages up to 1000V AC and 1500V DC. They are used for cutting electricity cables, where the conductive part is made of soft metals (copper, aluminum) with paper, enamel or polymer insulation.
